Ways to Help

Thank you so much for your interest in helping Breast Cancer Hawaii. We are a small nonprofit startup and would love any help that you can provide to us!  Whether you are someone that has been impacted by breast cancer, or just a member of the community and want to pitch in, there are numerous opportunities available:



Breast Cancer Hawaii is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and all monetary donations are tax deductible. 100% of donations stay in Hawaii to fund our programs that support those impacted by breast cancer. We connect survivors with relevant information and resources through our website, e-newsletter, and social media channels. We also coordinate educational workshops related to topics of survivorship. In addition, we provide one-on-one peer support to help patients navigate through their diagnosis and treatment.

A group of young breast cancer survivors will be heading over to American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge in downtown Honolulu to create "Hope Jars" with cancer patients in treatment and their caregivers. The jars will be filled with messages of hope and encouragement for the patients. In addition, we will be providing from some refreshments and entertainment. We have the following needs for supplies for this project and would greatly appreciate any in-kind donations as follows:

  • Hot Tea Bags (multiple flavors, preferably organic) for 20 people

  • Hot Cocoa Packets for 20 people

  • Styrofoam Cups or Paper Cups with Sleeves for 40 people

  • Paper Plates and Napkins (festive design preferred)

  • Disposable Table Cloths

  • Packaged Cookies / Snacks (must be purchased at a store or made in a commercial kitchen)

  • Scrapbooking Supplies (stickers, scissors, adhesive tape, colorful paper, washi tape, pens, etc.)

  • Gift Cards (from Walmart, Target, Longs, etc. to purchase any of the above items)


We have numerous volunteer opportunities, both in-person and online. You can volunteer for just a single event, or on an ongoing basis. Please contact hello@breastcancerhawaii.org so that we can find the right opportunity for you.
